Whenever my teacher asks me a question, I can't think. I sound as if I have never spoken a word of English in my life. O.k. ..so it's a bit exaggerated, but I really sound uneducated and as if I have no brain. Please help.

It just doesn't come out anymore nor do I have the drive to express myself. I mean what would I say. I always thought that by now I would be very articulate, but I stumble upon words, there are awkward silences. When I was a kid I had so much motivation and there were people who believed in me, now I am on my own. Is this how it is suppose tobe?

Many people fear talking in front of people. Some are more afraid of it than death.
Take some speech classes, but mostly just keep talking and it will get better.

i might want to assert even as i'm writing. the in ordinary words reason is because I easily have a comfortable stutter from time to time and that makes me sense a lot less articulate. for sure no longer having the flexibility to get the words out hurts my ability to sound professional. that's very authentic for public speaking. i imagine i want to take Xanax or some nerve pill because i'm an fairly intense strung individual. i desire Jax is a competent public speaker. that's been some thing that has afflicted me my finished existence and that i do no longer want him to sense the way that I felt even as i replaced into youthful.

After being a disc jockey for over 30 years, it still bothers me to speak in public. My best friend, for talking/speaking is the microphone. It doesn't care if I mess up. It doesn't talk back.

As for your problem, practice reading the newspaper out loud. Read it to a friend... then two friends.... etc.

Anything difficult requires practice to overcome.

Keep up the good work... You'll get there !!!!!

I know how you feel, I used to be like that, and now I'm a rather charming adult in person. I guess it comes with time, or confidence, I guess you could work on the latter.

Talk to your teacher in private. Let him or her know of the situation. They are there to help. Ask for it.
