What is it about this girl that has us all talking?

Seriously, have we not enough going on in our OWN lives as to not get concerned to what she "does?"

What has she done, is doing, or may do; that will remotely have any affect on any of us?

Do we not have enough domestic/international issues that we could be focusing on that are worth noting and paying attention to?

I think its more about the fact that she is a spoiled brat who made a mockery of Americas justice system. And that made headlines. Seeing poeple reactions to her release, most people were saying it was unfair, and they are dam right. Some people may say that the judge is using her as an example, but she is just another prisioner and another citizen that got caught doing the wrong thing and was sent to jail. For LESS time than your average Joe Blow. When you think about it, it is a HUGE issue for those in the US, as it is thier justice system which is stuffed and pretty much admitted that there are rules for the rich and rules for the poor.

I agree that there are many other issues that people should be focusing on but thats hollywood for you! The reason she disgusts me is because she is in a position that could affect people.. lots of young girls look up to her because of her celebrity status (even though I am not sure why she is soo famous woo she is an heiress big whoop) and she acts like a drunken, stupid, crazy, and i hate to say it but s*ut... She needs to grow up

To tell you the truth, I don't really care about what happens in celebrities lifes. For example I don't pay ANY attention to Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, and Britney Spears. They are all very bad examples for younger children. But I don't thik that answered your question, sorry.

Gee thats a really big choice.
1. A bunch of useless elected morons calling themselves politicians. Politicians wasting billions of taxdollars & lives yet they never go to federal prison for doing so.
V S
2. Paris making a small mistake in life.

escapist entertainment during times of conflict is the fare many want to balance the somber realities shaping the world. philton is fantasygirl, the era's li'lorphanannie, of sorts. she is vapid, vain and (yes!) vulnerable! at least, we are led to believe she is vulnerable to the stern strictures that so seldom seem to apply to the obscenely wealthy. we common rubes (whether or not we admit it) revel in the schadenfreude of the scofflaw jailed. the ire of the nation hit volcanic potential upon the questionable release and we relished every second of the snob's comeuppance as she cried for mommy.

oh, and she's hot.

Being arrested and going to jail really creep us out. Being that clueless is a little scary too.

We are forming an association not because we like or admire her but because she is living one of our worst nightmares. In big trouble and totally clueless. It is not unlike seeing someone in front of an audience with a wardrobe problem. It is not your problem but you are really conflicted.

The more outrageous, the more everyone talks. Good publicity though.

Have a lovely rest of the evening.

People are just bored with their own lame lives and actually believe that talking trash about someone they don't know will make their lives more exciting.

Most people need someone to mock in order to make them feel superior..So when they make a mistake they can go"at least I'm not as stupid as Paris Hilton."

A wise one once said,"What you do not approve of in yourself you do not approve in others."
