Can anyone tell me if it is best to use artificial rock or live rock in my saltwater red sea max fish tank.?

Live rock all the way. Artificial rock may not have the same composition of calcium/magnesium carbonates that buffer the water against pH changes and may not have the same surface area for bacteria to colonize.

live rock. Allow it to cure so the ammonia doesnt spike though.

live rock( be sure to wash the rock tho)
