Worst: Left me waiting at the elementary school for over an hour while they went out to go have lunch...turns out they picked up my brothers but not me...they claimed later on that they'd forgotten.
Best: Taught me how to whittle. Now I can whittle my own dolls

Best - Unconditional Love, consistently met my basic needs; food, shelter, even during their hard times they never let it show. They gave their children many many beautiful memories.
Worst - Never spoke to me about higher education. They did not know themselves. Their education did not pass middle school in Quebec, Canada. They could not guide their children toward opportunities that they had no clue existed in the States. I am now in college in Tampa, Florida, at 48, with my 17 year old daughter.

By far the best thing that my mother ever did - she tought me how to make money instead of just handing it to me. During the long gas lines of the late 70's, I walked down the line of cars and sold coffee in the morning and lemonade in the afternoon. I'm now the owner of two successful businesses.
And the award for jack@ss of the century goes to my father. After my parents got divorced he basically used me as his verbal punching bag because he was so bitter. After so many years of that crap I finally gave up on having anything to do with him.

Worst: I remember I was going to my best friends graduation, and my mom MADE me wear the UGLIEST dress you have ever seen in my LIFE! It was Blue with white polka dots, but it was even weirder, because it was like half dress, but the other half was shorts. Hard to explain, but I was soooo angry! I walked into the graduation and their was THOUSANDS of people! and if that was not bad enough we went to downtown to go to a restaurant and celebrate and I was devastated, it ruined my WHOLE day and mood! IT was absolutely horrible!
BEST: Nothing specific that I can remember, I guess always giving me cash when I need it!

Worse thing - not being loyal to me. Listening to others and going by what they opinionated.
Best thing - Put me through expensive schools (K -12th grade). they gave me the best education and worked their tails to pay the tuition. Neither ever had a brand new car.

The worst things generally turn into good things.
I didn't have the happiest childhood, but it worked in my advantage in most ways ....apart from me being emotionally retarded!!
