I don't necessarily hate America. I hate what has happened to it.

People have to have a demon. The French hate or mock anything not french, the Imperial English thought they were the rulers of the world and did act with contempt of any other races, the Belgians tortured the Congolese, the Japanese think anything else than Japanese is barbarian... should I continue?
Now the Earth hasn't seen a military power like the USA ever, and US citizens are arrogant, like the Roman citizens were insufferable at the height of their empire. Do you get it now?

I don't think people hate America, they hate America's policies. Arab/Muslims hate us in particular because of our support for Israel. Which are counter productive to America's middle eastern interest. Also America is the only remaining super power this can breed contempt and jealousy. Lastly, our current elected commander and chief has made a hypocrisy of what America is and this is magnified by groups who hate America.

How much time do you have?
People hate us mostly because of the actions of our government leaders, present and former.
Also, some are jealous of our standard of living and our ideals.
