Unfortunately, most of the math that you learn in school has no direct application to life. No one is ever going to come up to you and start asking about trains going in two different directions that left at the same time, etc, etc.
WITH THAT HAVING BEEN SAID, THOUGH, all of the math that you learn in school is actually a basis for other things that you may or may not do in life. When you look at them in a certain way, lots of the things that you do in life are a math problem.
You're in a restaurant with three of your friends. The check comes. You want to add a 20% tip and divide the total four ways. That's an algebra problem.
You have kids someday. You're building a sandbox for them in the back yard. You have to measure the lumber, cut it and fit it so that it's square, and fill the thing with sand. That's a geometry problem.
You're a big rock star (or sports star, or whatever your way-out dream is) and you make zillions of dollars a year. If your accountant is cheating you, how will you know?
I could go on all day. Lots of other subjects are more obviously useful in everyday life, but math is as fundamental as reading. It has just somehow become okay in our society to say, "I'm a high school graduate and I can't do math," whereas people would be horrified if you said, "I'm a high school graduate and I can't read." And if you ask me, the only difference is because math is harder. But it definitely is worth the effort. Almost anything else you do in life will involve math.
It's not strictly true that you can't possibly succeed without math, but knowing your math will definitely make the rest of your life easier.

Yes you do. I'm also 13 and I personally love math but whatever. Arithmetic is needed for any job and algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculas, statistics and etcetera are needed if you want to be in archetecture, computers, teaching, science, business and many other fields. Some jobs don't involve math, but much of life involves math. At the very least you are increasing your brain power. Just study hard at math and you might find you enjoy it.

It's a discipline to do math. It makes your brain work. It's not so much the facts you learn, but rather the mental exercise that you experience when you do math that is so beneficial to your growing brain.
Just tell yourself that you like math. It wont' seem so horrible if you stop dwelling on the negative and just accept the fact that you have to do it, and just dig right in. I used to have to "sacrifice" (which means kill) mice in my biology lab, and I would get really gung-ho and act like I liked it because if I stopped to think about what I was doing, I would be too horrified to do it. Just accept that you have to do it, and don't think about your personal feelings, just make an effort and do the work.

Yes, it's true. Even Subway workers need to know algebra. And you're still a few years from that. Who knows? Maybe you'll want to go to college someday. You'll definitely need math for that.

Unless you decide to become a writer, journalist, or something else that clearly doesn't involve math, then yes, you need math.
Anything in the sciences, social sciences, any job in business, etc. all require math.

Yes, you need to know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide, have a clue about percentages, fractions....all that elementary stuff. Now, algebra.....no. If you're in some field like medicine, pharmacy, etc, you have to know more math.

The most math I use is basic algebra. I liked algebra. I could never understand anything after that.
