This will be an ongoing battle for quite some time. Supply and demand, addictions, depression, life in general, experimental use, social use. There are too many reasons why people use drugs and there are many reasons sadly that people will continue to sell drugs for a very, very long time.

this is how i see it:

the government wants to suppress the general public's
use of street drugs.

but at the same time

billions of dollars worth of prescription drugs---antidepressants are a vast majority--
are shoveled down the general public's throats.

they are the drug lords. the 'war on drugs' is an attempt to monopolize on the drug industry.

same day we win war on weeds.

it's like maintaining a lawn - you gotta come through and pull the weeds every once in a while. Weeds will keep coming as long as there is wilderness anywhere with 50 miles, and you will keep pullling them.
