I'm very pale. I live in Michigan, and it is summertime right now, and I would really like to get tan. My friend and I lie by the pool for a while, but apparently not long enough for me to get a light tan. How long does it take to get a light to medium tan?

If you have red hair, forever. If other colored hair, not very long, just be patient, sweat up a storm, and get real thirsty, and before long you will have to start carrying a Green Card, just to buy groceries.

It depends on your genetics. And you don't want to get too much sun/tanning booth time at once. You need to start out slowly with short exposures to the sun so you don't burn.

If your light complected you may not be able to tan and just get sunburn.

all i know is it takes about 6 hrs 4 ur skin color 2 change!!!!!
