Some bigger women don't know if they are pregnant because they can't feel the baby move and their cycles aren't regular. I found out at around 9 weeks. I wanted to wait to take a test because I had been late once before. But, that wasn't very late.

My cousin's daughter recently had a full-term baby. She said that she didn't know she was pregnant until she was went to the ER with 'stomach problems" I honestly think she had to have known because she isn't that big of a girl to begin with. After seeing her families reaction to her baby and the pregnancy, I understand why she lived in denial for so long. They have been very unsupportive of her and her baby. Thankfully, her baby is doing very well, despite the fact that she had no prenatal care.

I had a friend of slight build-probably 5'4 and 120 lbs who had no idea of her third pregnancy-a really strange phenomena-she was out with her mom and waiting in the car when she suddenly felt a sharp pain, she thought she had started her period because she felt a gush and she ended up giving birth in the backseat of that car before her mom got out of the grocery store-less than 10 minutes! To validate this as more than a claim, a law suit ensued against her doctor as she was regularly being treated for her heavy, painful (and never missed) periods-it was an interesting day, to say the least!

I didn't know until 6 months into my second pregnancy. I had been working alot and simply thought the weight gain was from all of the food I'd been eating at my restaurant. It was normal for me to go that long without menstrating, especially with all the stress I was under at work, and I had no physical symptoms until I felt my little one moving around. I'm normally a very petite woman though, so I really should have figured out something was up. That's what 80 hour work weeks do to ya though.

Yes this actually happens a lot more then we hear about. I think a lot of times it happens in heavier woman because their stomach may not need to grow much in order to accommodate the baby. Can't be too healthy for the baby as the Mother obviously had no prenatal care but it definitely has happened.

My mom who's 5'2 and around 120 pounds didnt find out she was pregnant til she was 7 months. The only reason she found out she was pregnant was cause she was watching a tv show on stomach cancer later on in the day she went to wash her hair and as she leaned over the bathtub she felt a knot in her stomach. She convinced my dad she had stomach cancer and he believed her cause he could feel the "knot" too!! when he took her to the hosptial she told them about the "knot" they did blood work and told her she was pregnant!!!

I have heard lots of stories about that. I live in Kansas and there was a woman that went to the ER with stomach pains and ended up having a baby. And she swears she had no idea she was pregnant! So either the people lie about not knowing or the symptoms are just so subtle and they don't gain much weight that they ignore it.

My cousin's girlfriend, who was 19 at the time, was unaware of her pregnancy until she was 6 months along. She has a very slight build and didn't show until 6 months, and had spotted off and on throughout.

Yes, there have been medical reports of people who were unaware of their condition until they delivered.

I havent personally experienced this, but have heard tons of stories about it. Like the girl that went into labor had no idea what was happening and put her baby in the trash?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and cant even see this being possible. As the baby moves your whole stomach you'd sort of have to be blind to the fact that something was in there.
