I'm sure most will agree that piercings, like nipple piercings for example, are becoming more acceptable and even worn by people of all walks of life including white collared and professional background individuals. Does anyone here know of individuals like this that are into tattoos and piercings? Does anyone know this first hand?

wheeza7geeza... I wasn't talking about tattooos. Your answer seems a bit narrow minded. Piercings do not automatically fit into the category of mutilation. If that were true then women piercing their ears should be considered sick.

No. The ones I see in my town have tats that look like they're done in jail. And I don't look too long at people with piercings. The one girl who had piercings in her eyebrows and nose, stopped wearing them in order to advance her career in a local business. But maybe she still wears them on the weekends.

A women people's magazine (Cosmo i think of) in basic terms had an editorial some lady that lost a breast to a bacterial an infection after a nipple piercing. conventional, i think of they are extra customary, yet incidents like this are actually not likely to assist it grow to be extra mainstream.

My personal feeling is that the only people who have Tattoos and Piercings, are either completely mad, masochistic, or suffer from an Inferiority Complex.Otherwise why would you want to mutilate the beautiful body God gave you?To draw attention to yourself. YUK!

yeah, i worked with a lady who had numerous tats and piercings. some of them were on her arms so they were visible no matter what she wore. she had a nose piercing (not a ring, but just a little diamond thing) and a hole in her lip. but she never wore the lip piercing. and only sometimes wore the nose one. she was very professional, and she was very good at what she did. i would like to think the office overall respected her. i never heard anyone criticize her.

I don't feel that piercing or tattoos are taboo in anyway. I have two tattoos and I used to wear an eyebrow ring but I don't any longer.
