Unfortunately, I know people are truly racist. The fortunate fact is that many of us are not. Let me share a little story with you.

I am a white guy who was a school bus driver when I was 16 (I am 47 now). My first pickup was a back girl named Terry. After school she was my last drop off. In the '70's it was not cool to be friends with another race. One thing we had in common was that we smoked weed. Before I would drop her off, one day she light a joint and we became friends.

After some time, Terry invited me to dinner with her family. I was the only white guy and was welcomed by every member of her family. I remember her grandfather who I could call "gramps" and we were all like a family. Terry's mother always said, "come on over and be with us".

I lived with my grandmother who did not subscribe to our friendship. I asked her for $10 so that Terry and I could go to a concert. She said no since Terry was black. So, I went to my aunt who did not know about Terry and she gave me the money for the ticket. The groups at the concert were Brick, Confunction and Rose Royce and LTD; all black groups.

Terry told me I would be ok there, even though I only saw maybe three white people there. All of the people at the concert were good to me, passed joints around and everyone had a great time. It wasn't about the joints, it was about people getting along. No black person there gave me any indication that I was not welcomed. I was not white; just part of the the party.

The concert was great and the musicians were incredible. I felt completely as involved as all of the other people there. There was no racism that I could see at all.

Since that time, Terry and I speak of racism in our country. It is a fact, but not for us. We talk about how racism has grown, rather than declined; but not for us. It is a matter of who you are; not what you are that makes that difference. After 28 years, Terry and me are the same people with the same values we had a long time ago. I'm sure she would stand my my statement that racism should have gone away a long time ago.

i think of you're finding at this with a preconceived concept that any wrestler from yet another united states of america would be a heel. Santino is extremely Canadian-born, and he got here into the WWE as a face. Khali could no longer be a face using fact of his length and the indisputable fact that he can not communicate english. He additionally has very intimidating valuable factors. He has an particularly solid face and physique and an intimidating walk, once you seem at somebody like the enormous coach he has a extra approachable seem and can pull off the seem of a face extra valuable. somewhat contained with regards to the super Khali a guy of that length is extra in all probability to be a heel than a face. the reason the enormous coach works so properly as a face is by using the fact the has a ultimate experience of humour which replaced into shown whilst he regarded on Saturday night stay.

I think it depends entirely on your definition of the word racist. The most common dictionary definition is that you believe a certain race (usually your own) is superior and should rule the others. That is not how most people use it these days. Today a person is called racist if they show any dislke toward a person of another race. It is too often misused and has clouded the entire concept. By the dictionary meaning, I believe that most people are NOT racist, only the white supremists and a few other extreme kooks.

I think we all are a little racist. Despite how much I want to treat everyone equally, sometimes I will stop myself from saying something to someone of a different race because I'm afraid that will offend them. I think everyone deserves to be treated equally and with respect, but because of what happened a long time ago, I am way more precautious of what I say to someone of let's say color, than I am to someone of my race, because I don't want to hurt their feelings or be racist. Although it kind of is being racist in a twisted way while I try to prevent it. It's hard to explain though. Everyone was made the same, and everyone deserves respect.

go to this website and click on research. Finish the whole test and it will tell you if you are or not. It goes on the subconcious mind not what you think you are thinking.

This is a racist study research project by harvard.

It is awesome and was featured on oprah!

We are all a little racist - but not in the way you think. There is always someone of another race that you just DON'T LIKE and that you still wouldn't like if they were of your own race. So we all become a tiny bit sceptical, most of the times not even consciously, when we see someone of that specific color/nationalty.

i think we all are a little. Even people who feel they have to point out everything you say as a racist comment are. They are focusing on race too much. Maybe if we could just stop focusing on our diffs, we could all just wake up and realize we are all part of the same human race
