lol No. Joan of Arc did something great, what does Paris contribute to the world? She takes up space and oxygen on this planet.

By the way Sam, don't you mean all the WOMEN in cell block C? Wink wink nudge nudge, somebody named Paris is somebodys bizitch?

You are not the Duchess of Cornwall;the Duchess of Cornwall doesn't care two hoots about Paris Hilton. She also has staff who would correct all typographical, spelling and punctuation errors in all her correspondence.
Paris Hilton is no Joan of Arc;Paris Hilton is an ignorant, uneducated, conceited,
hypocritical,
immature scion of a wealthy family, famous for being famous and not for being talented(her singing voice is weak an unexceptional and her acting poor).Diana,Princess of Wales, for all her faults(she was only human)did do work for many charities and still continues to earn money for said charities
http://www.theworkcontinues.org .
The interest in her life has not diminished 10 years after her death(numerous treatments on her life have been or will be published to commemorate her death). And Diana is mother of a future king;her name will go down in history for that at least.
The real Duchess of Cornwall knew this already;Camilla knows how important it is to honor the memory of the late Princess of Wales.

Paris Hilton may very well be sorry for what she has done and she may change and become a Christian woman and do Christian things and work her fingers to the bone for charity.

All of this and more is possible for Paris Hilton and I wish her well.

She will however, never outclass Saint Joan of Arc, the Maid of Orleans. Jean d'Arc, beloved of France.

She will most certainly never equal Diana Princess of Wales. I was at Diana's funeral procession here in London. Flowers are still laid outside Kensington Palace all these years later. She will never be forgotten. She was the people's princess.

Diana, Princess of Wales, the most photographed woman in all history. She will never be forgotten and when Paris Hilton is dead, will thousands flock to her funeral, will they wail in grief as did the English at Diana's parting? I have never heard a sound like it and never thought we were like that. Such grief, such sorrow and it just will not go away.

When Diana was driven away from London in her coffin to her ancestral home at Althorpe, the entire route was lined with the people who threw flowers on the hearse and into it's path.

Farewell Princess.

Paris Hilton is a spoiled, little girl who has wound up just where her snobbishness and bad acting put her - in jail. She'll go down as an ex con. Too bad, she could have done something good for the world. She has set female equality back a century.

Joan of Arc is a hero not only for the French, but for all women. She is a champion of liberty and women's lib.

There is simply no comparison between the two.

there is no comparison. Paris will be remembered for getting drunk, going to jail and spreading her legs. Paris is not America's Joan of Arc,just like you are not the Duchess of Cornwall. Comparing the little **** to Joan of Arc is an insult to Saint Joan

In America it 's a shame that a person who is popular because of having Daddy's money not only gets extreme privilege, but gets away with a lot more than you or I ever could, or would ever try. She may be remembered for a lot of things, but she and Diana are in two totally different league. Diana was kind, loving, considerate and compassionate -remember the AIDS patients she visited and stayed with in the hospital? I could never see Paris exerting any time or energy to give compassionate love at this depth.

*laughs* No way in this world. Paris Hilton is the farthest thing from both St Joan of Arc and Diana. She is spoiled, selfish and immature, whereas St Joan of Arc and Diana were both wonderful, strong women. It's really quite insulting to hear about them compared, as St Joan of Arc is one of my favourite saints.

Joan of Arc (literally) fought the English to take back her homeland for the French King (Charles VII). Paris got caught on video performing fellatio. She's a rich drunk and hasn't fought for a single thing. Paris is NOT "America's Joan of Arc." And Diana? Are you kidding?? Comparing Paris to Diana the humanitarian?! That's like comparing a bucket of vodka vomit to a bottle of fine wine.

And who would want to be remembered for such an idiotic lifestyle?

No & what has The Duchess of Cornwall got to do with it, The only reason Paris Hilton will be remembered is for being a drunken driver, with too much money, & no brains,

Hm, all three could be classified as attention-getting women. There's a Hilton in Paris, Diana died there, and Joan of Arc was French . . .

Otherwise, the trio could separately be identified as
------an heiress who didn't complete her DWI probation
------the divorced wife of the current Prince of Wales, dubbed the "people's princess"
------a martyred French patriot

Let's just file this question as an example of a non sequitor.

Do you know of any other examples of logical fallacy?
