I need a container that is:
capable of holding up to 5 atmospheres without changing shape drastically
an opening large enough to fit a small apple
readily available and affordable

Thank you in advance for any help

Sounds like a job for a standard industrial gas cylinder. The valve body has a pretty large thread on it. Maybe a very small apple.

If you don't mind fussing around with demounting it, those undersized emergency spare tires that all new cars come with are generally pressurized to about 60 psi (4+ atmosphere). I'll bet you already have one in the garage. They would be perfectly safe if pushed to 70 psi if you're not planning on using it on a car that way. You could certainly get an apple in there.

You might consider a Cornelius keg: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornelius_kegs I believe the opening is large enough for small to medium apple. Five atmospheres is not a particularly high pressure. You don't say how large of container you want, only the opening size. You might try a short length of 3" or so steel pipe with caps on each end.

There was a company called Kramerica which addressed the issue of containers withstanding pressure to prevent oil tanker spills, however they were not successful.
