Face it, over and over, until it's just not that scary anymore.

I think this example will explain: I recently had to have an MRI
and was scheduled to go into that machine completely. I'm
really claustrophobic and had put it off for months. One day
I decided that I'd just close my eyes and write a song while
I was in there. The nurse offered me ear plugs because she
said there would be a lot of loud banging and noise involved,
so I put them on but when I got in there, they had a certain
beat. I stopped the MRI, took off the earphones and wrote
a great song to that beat that a blues band just sang at
their gig. I'll never be fearful again of that.

I personally face my fears, because fear is the mindkiller. If u don't face your fears, you'll never be able to move on with your life. But you don't have to face every fear alone.....

face it. When I was afraid of heights I took up rock climbing. To get over my fear of snakes, I have been holding my friends snake and gardening in the brushier parts of my yard by myself.

my biggest fear is heights. So when I want to do something like bungee jump or jump off a plane. I just take the plunge and do it don't even think about you. Just do it.

find something scarier that makes what you were afraid of in the first place pale in comparison. My example, deathly afraid of spiders until I discovered the house centipede.
