No, it is impossible. Meteors are much to small to possess a magnetic field or atmosphere. Perhaps a very large asteroid would have such a feature, but even those chances are slim. The only thing that will slow down a meteor, is the friction in our atmosphere.

Its certainly possible, but meteors are so small that the magnetic field they could have wouldn't be enough to overcome the gravity of its descent into our atmosphere or the Earth's EM field.

Meteorites are meteors which have already struck the planet. Therefore, they no longer have any motion of their own. I do not believe they can be slowed down any more at this point!
