NO you do not want to be reformatting your hard drive. That will wipe out your computer's operating system and any of your data that is there.

Do not re-format. Cancel and attempt to re-start. Save in open applications. If you choose format, you will loose all your infomation on the drive. Your hard disk probably did not crash, or the whole computer would have locked up.

Try a hard shutdown, then let a couple of minutes pass. See if things are working right. If so, go back to the application and try to save the file again.

The standard save offered by any program should be to your document folder. See what the default save is by just using save as. If your c: drive was not formatted the machine would not run.

Unless you are sure that your C drive needs formatting (sounds like you are not sure at all), you are either being fooled by a message or it's a harmful msg. It can be a malicious attempt to wipe out your machine. Best thing to do is for you to reboot. Saying either "yes" or "no" can both result in a system disk-wipe that you need to avoid.

Hey man why dont you provide more information....
How can anyone understand precisely what is the problem.

Without any answer my answer will be O GO FORMAT IT...
How would i know where is ur operating system files located..
Tell me can you access any other file in C: drive or not..

Just try one thoing..
Start comman prompt by typing CMD in start > run
type "chkdsk c: /r" And if it ask to unmount they press "y"
It will automatically fix the error.

Else you can try making another user account..
Goto Control panel > users
and add new account...
It will be done

It sounds like you are trying to save the files to a floppy disk and not my documents. I would try saving them to your desktop or to the root of your hard drive which should be c:\ but that could be a floppy drive.

Thanks,
