Top Dems and NOW used to tell us that it was important to stop the beating of women that takes place in many Muslim homes.
However, since Pelosi and Hillary have been put in charge, it no longer seems important to them.
Have Pelosi and Hillary adopted the views of Bin Laden? Are they trying to protect the rights of Muslim men to beat their wives?

We used to hear Dems rant about how this was an important issue. But, now that they're in power, Dems act as if it's low priority. Were Dems lying to us just to get elected?

No I don't think it is coincidence. Neither have ever even brought the subject up. Pelosi even wore the scarf which is a sign of submission which put the women there in a bad position.

What are you speaking approximately. Please make clean from which source presented you with precise records that might help your presentation. there is no correlation of records which could be utilized to augment the accuracy of your senseless opinion. regulations now supply for the prosecution of relatives abuse related to the contributors of that relatives. The gender of the abuser isn't an argument. The Muslim constituency of this united states of america are subject to the compliance of this regulation as properly. all of us who considers that we've the duty to keep away from spousal abuse in yet another united states of america has an particularly cavalier concepts-set, and superficial awareness of the non secular ideals that define suitable habit of each and every gender. Puleeze, get your info in alignment earlier you open your mouth. you in straightforward terms make your self appear as if an fool.

I must have missed it because I don't recall hearing or reading anywhere where President Bush is stopping the Muslims from beating up women either.
He wants to bring democracy into Iraq not stop the religious believes or rules.
Shoot we have enough problems in our own country with people wanting to take woman's right to choose away we don't need to add another country into the mix.
Problem is most libs believe we don't belong in the middle east at all so why would Pelosi worry about what's happening in that country!!!

What did the Repubics do for women the past 6 years? Do you really think Pelosi can perform miracles alone? If she could, then our troops would be brought home alive and un-maimed now. No, politics is a slow process and our Speaker can't run Arab countries. Bush is the one who wants to run other countries.

Why hasn't NOW gone to the polygamist town of Colorado City and protested the idea of multiple wives. Isn't that making women inferior?

And what exactly do you expect them to do about it, the only power they have in the matter is speech. Personally I doubt anyone capable of curtailing abuse in Muslim countries will bother listening.

Muslims are not the only ones who beat their wives. Seems many in North america do the same-why are the divorce courts full?

Apparently their abhorrence of the institutionalized mistreatment of women in the Muslim world is secondary to their warm embrace of diversity of the religion of peace. They have been remarkably quiet on that one.
