I have 7 marble mollies, the mom died after she had them, now that they have grown up (not fully though), how can I tell the sex? Also is 7 too many in 10 gallon tank once they have fully grown?

A male livebearer such as guppies, mollies, platies, and swordtails have a pointy anal fin. It resembles a stick. The female's anal fin is just that--a fin. It's rounded, not pointed. If you see one of your mollies chasing another one and getting really close, it's the male pursuing the female. The male sexual equipment is called the gonopodium, and a young male will have rays in his anal fin that signal his impending maturity.
As for numbers, three females and one male is fine for a 10-gallon tank.

To expound on the first answer males have a more pointed anal fin while females have a triangular shaped anal fin. Seven Mollies is pushing the limit of your tank but can be handled o.k. if regular water changes are done. I recommend doing a 20% water change every week once your Mollies are adult size.

Generally males are more slender bodies whereas females are rounder, also males of a modified anal-fin.
