it is a sign of teething, which is a process that can take weeks or months to see that first pearly white rear its head. my first started teething at 3 months and did not get her first tooth until 11 months old. my second showed no real symptoms of teething and basically popped out 3 teeth in her fourth month. and my third is still teething..though the drooling did drop off at about 7 months (she is 9 mos now).
it is a sign of teething, and hopefully the only symptom you will see, with teeth appearing quickly and painlessly =)
enjoy!
oh, PS- prolific drooling can also cause a rash around the mouth..no need to worry, just try your best to keep him dry.
lots of luck

Usually that is a sign that they are about to begin teething, or that they are teething. It doesn't mean that they will have teeth anytime soon though. Sometimes the babies can teeth for months before the tooth pops through.
And yes that is normal as well. It normally will begin between 3 and 5 months of age (though not always)

It's totally normal. My son started the constant drooling at about 3 months, and at 7 months he still has no teeth. Teething signs, like drooling, fussing, and chewing can start months before teeth actually come through.

It is normal.
Everyone says that it is a sign of teething, but it isn't. It's actually his saliva glands developing.
Teething and the drooling have nothing to do with each other. One happens and then the other, but not always one right after the other. My son sarted drooling at three months too. He's now seven months - and no teeth!

Drooling is normal and sometimes I would just let my kids run around with bibs on because they were easier to change than the cloths.... You could begin to see teeth in the front within the next 1-2 months

That's no myth. Teeth equal lots and lots of drool. I would put a bib on him durring the day...it makes it much easier and cleaner to take care of
