That would scare me.
Tell this guy to leave you alone. If he starts to get bizarre or angry, tell him that you're going to call the cops. Make sure that a friend is with you in case he tries to pull something. Follow it up with the police.
It may just be that this guy was trying to be romantic, but failed. You get some people who think that pickup lines like that work when you use them on people that hardly know you.

That has happened to me before and yeh I was a little freaked out. Usually it just means he wants to know you better and if you are interested in him go for it, if not try to avoid him. Good luck.

I'd definitely keep on the lookout. There are creeps everywhere, so if you feel weird about it...your feelings are probably right.
