I don't want to waste my time reading ignorant hateful krap. I can go hang out in a 7th grade guys' locker room if I need to witness that level of discourse.

I don't think so. It's your choice whether you want to block someone or not. If someone else were choosing for you, then it would be censorship, but you, me, and everyone else here has a right to choose who they wish to associate with or not in the real world, so why not here as well? If I were to block someone, it wouldn't be simply because I disagree with them, it would be because I observed them posting something that I found abusive or harrassing of others. Whatever my reasons would be for blocking someone, that's my choice to make, and I am happy to have one.....

unpatriotic lamer is wrong. Yahoo removing trolls is not censorship either. Yahoo is privately owned and they can refuse service to whoever they want.

Trolls are not just those with opposing views from yours that you disagree with. Troll are those who post inflamatory questions or answers solely for the purpose of causing trouble.

Yes, it is a form of censorship, and Yahoo! has offered the privilege to those of us who are of sound mind.

It is only censorship if the government blocks them. A corporation has the right to do whatever it wants with its property. Yahoo! has the right to block whoever they see fit from their site.

Yahoo doesn't censor or block....they give the forum posters the option to do it.

I use it to prevent having to ply through 6th grade level information. I prefer to communicate with the adult community, not babysit.

No because the blocking feature does not prevent them from saying what they want but rather it prevents you from seeing it.

I agree with you. Trolls should not be blocked. They often make people think. Thinking is good.

Only if the government did it. a corporation can do it. Freedom of speech is only in regards to political speech to the government. The first amendment is in regards to the rules the GOVERNMENT must follow.
