Humor is partly in-born and partly acquired during the early years of childhood. If the parents always try to make the kids laugh, the the kids grow up happy and be playful. I speak from experience. I did all the funny faces and stories to make my daughter laugh. She is quick with jokes and doesn't mind people joke about her because she can come back at you with a bunch of vocab you don't even understand. I do the same thing to my son and even though I know he laughs inside, he doesnt' counter with the same humor as his sister.
