Hey, i just got my 2nd shot on June 1st. Well, I bled all during my 1st shot, now i've stopped. I know u stop after a while, so which shot is it that you do stop at?? I've had to wear period stuff just to prevent the off chance I may start b/c b4 I'd think I was off and then I'd start again. HELP lol Which one did you quit after??? I'm tired of waiting to find out for me haha

Hate to say it but it varies for everyone. The first time on it, it was immediate. The second time (after a pregnancy) it took about 8 months for it to stop.

It's different for every woman. With me, they gave it to me 5 days after having my son so I bled for 5 months straight then it stopped and hasn't come back since. You will basically have to wait it out but generally it does take a few months for your period to stop. Good luck!

I just got my second one the beginning of this month. I did not bleed with the first one, except slight spotting for a few days before the next one was due.
I also got my first shot mid-cycle though(doctor told me it wasn't recommended that way, but I wanted it...)
I guess everyone is different.

Unfortunately, there is no time frame on when you will stop, because periods either stop for good while on the shot or spotting is possible. If you are finished with child bearing, you should consider endometrial ablation.

i have been on the depo for a few years now. your period should be stopping soon. keep up with your shots, and it will stay away. miss a shot, and you will have to wait till you are on your period again, to get the shot. not fun.
