I don't know what it would be called but I want it gone! It is black buildup on the corners of my kitchen floor along my walls and refrigorator. How do I get rid of it? The floor isn't tile. It is like paper stuff that was just layed down in there. I can't quite explain it. But is there anything I can do to get rid of all of this black buildup that mopping won't do? It has been there for years. I can't replace the floor because I do not own the home and my landlord does not want to pay to have it replace. What can I do? Really.

Thanks ahead of time!

Go to the store in the floor wax section. Buy a bottle of Wax Remover. I use it on my floor for the bad areas that are hard to clean. Pour alittle on, let it set for several minutes and use a scrub brush, if the corner is tight, use a old toothbrush and maybe a single edge razor blade to scrap it off. Then keep it washed down with alittle bleach each week.

I agree with Kingsleydr60 about going somewhere like Lowe's and getting some wax remover for floors, it sounds like build up on your floors. Also once cleaned I would use a product called Simple Green dilute with water to maintain your floors. Simple Green is a natural product non toxic and a good cleaner. I use this in my own home for cleaning.
