LMFAO

Your dad is my new hero. Stupid telemarketers. Do they really think they're fooling anybody? It's like, hello!!! We hear that pause, and then the noise of 50 other ppl talking in the background! "Oh, this is just a courtesy call." Umm, no it's not, It's a sales call, dumbazz!!!!

So sorry to get off on a tangent, but they call for my boss EVERY DAY at work. Alot of them have stopped though, lol. I think they are realizing they can't get through the fortress known as ME. LOL

HAHAHAHAH!

That's a first! I would usually end the call(s) by saying that I'm just a tenant and that the real houseowners (the parents) had gone MIA.

But I was a telemarketer once (part-time gig, after high-school) and I know how it feels like to be doing the talking so I usually act civil to them.

Be nice and cordial even though you know you wanna kill them!

I've always been too scared to say someone was dead, for fear that it would happen.
But I do pretend to be Chinese or put the phone on speaker & vaccum or blare Bjork until they hang up.
Hey, it comes with the job. If they can't deal with it, they shouldn't be telemarketers. We don't like being called & annoyed.

No it wasn't harsh,
we sometimes do that, and they're
like Oh I'm So Sorry, Miss.
Or one of my personal favorites, saying I'm
just the maid miss, let me get her, then
leave the phone there and don't pick it up for another 5 minutes. Usually the telemarketer
will hang up.

The best thing to do is by politley telling them to put you on the do not call list. I used to be a telemarketer.

That was perfect. When i get sales calls asking if i am the home owner, i always tell them i am squatting in the property and don't know where the owners are. They generally put the phone down...

Well...maybe, he should just tell them to hold on a sec. lay it down and forget about picking it up again till they have hung up, or do like me and blow a whistle into the phone if they won't quit calling.

That was funny.... I never thought of that one.... you have to be firm with the telemarketers.... and ask to be removed from the list.... by law they have to remove your name and telephone number...

no I don't think so.... I work for a promotions company, and I know a lot of people who worked in the call center part and hated making those calls. No one takes any offense to what you say, but just remember they hate calling you probably as much as you hate recieving their calls.
