I have been bleeding from the vagina for about one month straight. It is really heavy right now and I'm starting to get really scared. I told my mom a few days ago and she said it could be cysts. But should they bleed this much? What should I do? My mom's working tonight, so I can't talk to her. What could be causing this?

A month of bleeding is not good for your body and systems.

You need to get your mum to take you to the Doctor. And soon.

After a month of bleeding you are at risk of anaemia. So will need iron tablets.
But you need to get the bleeding stopped. They can do this with a small pill daily for a week or if they need to a D & C where they scrap the lining out that is continuing to bleed.

DO NOT TAKE ANY ASPRIN OR ASPRIN PRODUCTS at the moment. This will cause the bleeding to become much worse.

If it is cysts, which can cause hormone imbalances that then cause bleeding excessively, then they need to be dealt with too. Not just ignored.

When she get's home. Get her to make a Doctor's appointment.

Your mom should have taken you to the doctor. No one should be bleeding for a month straight. Call your doctors office and get in immediately.

There are many reasons as to why this could be happening. Blood work, a pelvic exam and an ultrasound will tell your doctor what it is that is going on.

Either way, this must get investigated. Its not okay and clearly you had a medical issue going on.

Get in with your doctor right away.

See a Gyn to stop the bleeding. It could be cysts or hormones or something serious.

I went through the same thing back in 1992, but I bled for a year straight (I kept hoping it would stop). I went to my Gyn and she put me on the pill to stop the bleeding and regulate my periods.
She said it was due to me not ovulating.

Your situation may be different. See a Gyn ASAP!

Like everyone has said, you need to see a doctor ASAP. Bleeding from the vagina could be attributed to many things. Some of which may include:
hormonal imbalance,
fibroids,
overgrowth of endometrial tissue,
thyroid abnormalities.

You need to see a doctor ASAP honey. This is not normal and your mom could be right, you might have a cyst. But regardless you NEED to be seen by your gynecologist. Is there pain involved with the bleeding?

You should tell your mom to make an emergency gynocologist appointment for you ASAP! Why isn't your mother concerned that this could be something serious, you should look up symptoms on the internet and see if you can find something while you wait to go to the doctors.

Have your Mom take you to the doctor, urgent care if necessary. This is not good. It could be lots of things, but only a doctor would be able to tell you exactly.

You need to go to the doctor. That is not normal. It could be something serious. You have lost enough blood.

well, it could be anything, are you stressed at school? have you taken any drugs or medicine? or done anything unusual? anything could have caused it.
