algebra and geometry are two completely different things. If you did poorly in algebra chances are you will do well in geometry.

Good luck! And remember math takes daily practice, or it will never sink into your brain! :-)

See if you can get your hands on the same geometry book you will be using next year. Failing that, books you can find at bookstores, libraries and on-line should also be helpful. If you do a little reading and studying, and work problems, et cetera, you will already have a leg up on the subject when it actually comes time to do it for real next year. The other answerers are right that algebra and geometry don't necessarily correlate with each other. However, geometry does rely to some extent on the use of algebra, so it wouldn't hurt to get some remediation in that subject also. A tutor is a good idea, if you can afford it. The most perplexing things you will find about geometry are proofs. It will seem like an entirely new world, because unfortunately American students aren't really taught rigorous proof techniques and logic in the lower grades, a travesty which I think should be addressed by the federal government.

Good luck in your studies this summer and next year.

1-hire a home math tutor

2-buy math instructional videos or dvds. I have geometry parts 1 and 2 on dvd, if you are interested. Write to me at: nycfunction@yahoo.com

3-Buy a basic geometry book (or check one out) of your local public library

What else can I say?

Geometry means to MEASURE THE EARTH.

Geometry is a lot of fun.

If you understood algebra, geometry is not hard.

You need to know algebra to do geometry.

It's true that how you do in geometry is frequently independent of how you did in Algebra.
Ask your school if you can borrow the geometry rext for over the summer and read it through to get a head start. If they won't let you, and geometry text (from the library) will work.
I wish all my students were as diligent as you regarding summer prep! Congrats!

try to learn some if not most of the theorems and postulates. That will help soo much. If you know basic Algebra it 'll help, but honestly brushing up on your more advanced Algebra will help as well. Geometry is just Algebra with shapes.

Go to your local library and see if you can get your hands on a DVD tutorial, as well as a type of book that simplifies geometry. the main thing is not to memorize, but it is to UNDERSTAND each concept.

Have your parents also invest in a math tutor for you.

Hope this helps. BTW, I see that you are in control of your education, and I applaud you for that; many would give up too soon and say they don't care. Best of luck to you and your goals!!
