How sweet of you. She will be okay soon. Morning sickness usually only lasts for a month or so. The best thing you can do for her is let her rest. Try to keep something in her stomach, even just crackers or toast will help. Dramamine wont help , it may increase her sickness. Her body will soon adjust to the pregnancy hormones and they will begin to level off. Its only a matter of time. Let her rest as much as possible. Make sure she is very well hydrated as well that will help her as well.

Dramamine While Pregnant

Despite what others have written, yes you can take dramamine while pregnant. My doctor prescribed it for me and he's had obstetric experience for over 20 years.

Obviously, if morning sickness can be treated with non-drug methods that's ideal but for some women it is so severe it can be debilitating.

My morning sickness lasted 5 months and it was 24/7 so I got no relief, and I was running after 2 toddlers. I also lost 10 pounds from sickness. My doctor felt that the benefits of medication outweighed the possible risks.

Dramamine is actually a gentler drug than some other medications prescribed for morning sickness like phenergan and zofran. If you use Dramamine, DON'T use the "non-drowsy" formula.

Hang in there, both of you. I know it's a tough time. My husband and i have been through this three times. Please email me if you want ideas for non-drug remedies before trying Dramamine.

and try sucking on peppermints when feeling sea sick:)

drink lots of water it helps too...

ASK her doctor for a list of OKed meds they have them:)

if she cannot keep down water or is weak and dizzy take to the doctor soon these are signs of dehydration.

your concern is sweet. as far as i know there isn't anything that will make the nausea go away. as far as taking Dramamine, it's best to consult her physician before taking any kind of medicine

No she can not. if she is very sick, the dr can prescribe an anti nausea medication. i took it and it was a night and day difference. the dr will check to make sure she is eating small meals, keeping hydrated, etc before prescribing! Congrats! Hang in there!
