For those who follow the race and the debates and understands what he stands for, the name would not matter. However, unfortunately there are many out there who may close their minds to his message and go by the name only.

I don't know about the negative name thing. It seems that many people just take anything they are told at face value. By doing that, however erroneous the information is, it becomes the truth. I hear people all the time call Barack an Islam-ist which is something FOX News put out there. It couldn't be farther from the truth but none the less it is gospel to many. As far as his value.....BARACK ROCKS!!!!! A new kind of politics is so past due. A short time in Washington is in his favor in my opinion. I cant see much good coming from Washington or anyone that has been there very long. Barack may be able to stop the hate mongering and just maybe we again can be one nation under God. As it sits now, which is evidenced by the responses to you question, we are so fractured that we ourselves have made us more vulnerable then we have ever been.

Barack Hussien Obama will be voted when people know that he is qualified to be President. He is favored by the Youth Sector that carries a substantial vote.
VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

I think his name hurts him with racists, who aren't going to vote for him anyway
- and radical right wingers convinced he's a Muslim plant who's going to single-handedly stage a coup and declare Jihad the day he's sworn in, who aren't going to vote for him anyway
- and plain old run of mill ijits who run their mouths but couldn't find a voting booth if one were dropped off in their front yard.
Not really an Obama supporter myself but I stubbornly remain convinced that most Americans are not that ignorant.

I really hope not. Anyone who does that should just stay home on Election Day.
I mean should I not vote for John McCain, because he shares a 1st name with John Wilkes Booth?

I will not vote for him because he has not completed a full term in the Senate and does not know yet what he is talking about.
His name gives me a second reason.
The fact that he took cocaine is a third and explains a lot of positions. Also, conservative or liberal, we have now had two presidents in a row that have tried blow. Why do we need a third?

You mean the name "Democrat"?
I think that name and his Leftist ideology will hurt him more than the name Barack Hussein Obama.
But then, I probably don't think the American people are as stupid and racist as you do.

I hardly think so. People won't vote for him or any other candidate for that matter, because of their politics. People tend to vote for those whose politics they agree with.

A few. Others won't vote for him because he is unqualified. Still others won't vote for him because he is trying to incite a race war. There are more than enough legitimate reasons to oppose him without talking about his middle name.

Yes, his name is a problem, but I don't like his policies, he is a Socialist, so I won't be voting for him on that basis.
