My A/C will be cold when its not really hot outside, but when it is, it comes and goes, getting really hot when I idle but getting cooler when I start accelerating, then gradually staying hot. Is this a problem with the air compressor or is it getting low on C02?

sorry, freon, had co2 on the brain - also, both fans are working correctly,(1 cools the engine, 1 is for a/c)

It sounds like you are low on freon (Not CO2). The compressor will cycle on and off, and you will notice it more on a hot day!!

The 91 Honda used R-12, which is getting expensive if you can even find it. If the car is in good shape, and you plan on keeping it for a while, you may want to have the system converted to 134-a.

Any Good shop can check to see if you need freon!

Hard to say, but who told you A/C runs off of C02?? It runs off of freon, which is very expencive, you're better off leaving it how it is, it could be any number of things. Even if its the cheaper fix, low on charge, it'll cost you $200, because you need to go to a mechanic, you cant buy freon.

check the psi on the gas first then if it is good look at getting a new pump. If you dont know how to check the gas for the a/c go to ur parts store and get a recharge kit it comes with instructions and a Gage for like 20 bucks

co2 is not something you would want in any system other than your exhaust.
You may have a vaccum leak that is small enough that the rpm's can overcome the leak. If not, you will need toi recharge your a/c system- Take it to k-mart for this.

Your electric fan quit working.
The one on the front of the car that blows air through the condensor. (little radiator)
