My boyfriend is Muslim and we have been debating about sex only being for procreation. We love each other very much and I want to marry him and have babies with him. He has been very evasive about the whole procreation debate and I don't understand what the Quran says...could anyone explain that please??

If this man is really serious to marry you, he can marry you under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 the only secular enactment available in India for any Indian to marry another Indian irrespective of their religion, caste or creed. According to this enactment the only requirement is that of Age 18years for girl & 21 years for boy, their unmarried marital status, their fit mental status & they should not be related within the degree of prohibition relationship. Both of you can remain & follow your individual religions even after this marriage. The people who are misguiding you by saying that Muslim man cannot marry non Muslim female in India are religious fanatics who want to propagate only their own religion & don't want to mix in the main stream of Indian society, these people are responsible for communal violence which you see in India today & they don't want good relationship between the various communities in India, which we find in this secular enactment that is uniting two people of different religions or caste to unite to form a loving family. Please ask your friend that if he is really interested in marriage he should go in for marriage under the provision of the Act I told you otherwise just tell him to get lost as you are not a sex object for him to play & satisfy his sexual urge now & afterward throw you out on the basis of his being a Muslim man & you a non Muslim, that will be an insult to your modesty as a woman & an offence punishable under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code.

Read Surah : Al Baqarah, Aal Imran , Annisaa, Al Maaedah, Annor, Al Ahzaab in Quraan.
Write : 'Kanzul Iman ' in 'Google' search box . U will get the translation of Quraan by Allama Ahmed Raza Khan , Barelvi, followed by 85 % Muslims of India, the best translation so far.
Briefly , a non Muslim girl cannot get married to a Muslim boy unless she voluntarily(without pressure) converts to Islam & follows Islamic principles fully. A jew or a Christian girl can get married to a Muslim boy without conversion but she must be highly principled in following the religion. She should not drink alcohols, not clip her hairs, not mixes with boys & not having anything objectionable as per her own religion. That girl is called "Kitaabiah". but I think it is difficult to find a real Kitaabiah now a days. So, your ambition is out of question. Ur friend does not want to spoil friendship by telling this thing. Being friend does not mean having marriage & babies with the friend. Be good persons for each other, never pose any danger to each other & be helpful in needs as Islamic teachings say about human relations. The world is very big. Searching a good suitable match is not the problem , except for overintroverts. The type of marriage u r planning with him is a risky one & is not stable in the long term. When children r born, problem aggravates further, experience shows about many. U cannot cent percent predict the future. Risk factor must not be overlooked. Kindly accept this humble advice like the same given by a well wisher brother. I'm sorry to reply so much lengthy.

Are you planning on converting? You might want to read the Quran to see what your bf's religion is all about, it will give you a better understanding of where he's coming from and what he may expect from himself and you in your relationship and marriage if you get married.

read the quran and get a better understanding of what you might be getting yourself into other wise if you don't like it you'll already be committed. You should be equally yoked other wise it won't work.

i am also muslim, and the only reason u get married is too HAVE kids........it sucks.........
muslims r like really, juss.........plain....i mean, like everything is ordered and perfect, no bad stuff, and thats why musilm girls arnt allowed to date, cuz they might get pregnant before they get married
u r only suppose to have babies after u get married
muslims arent like americans, they dont date, i mean they arent SUPPOSE to date.........
