In some cases PT is a college course, but in most schools now I believe it is actually a graduate course - at the Doctoral level - with courses equivalent to what an MD would take. That means you have to complete a college degree FIRST and then go to PT school.
Also, because this is a high demand course, a lot of the schools have waiting lists and are competitive for admission. If you don't love school and if you arent a good student, then this is NOT the career for you.
You need to check with the career counselor, or with the Health Careers Counselor or Health Sciences Advisor at your college or Jr College to have them go over the requirements for this program.
Like all programs that involve caring for people's health, you have to be a good student to qualify, and the course work will be tough.
Good luck!

All States require physical therapists to pass a licensure exam before they can practice, after graduating from an accredited physical therapist educational program.

You might be able to find an office that's willing to train you, the problem is in most states you have to be licensed. I know Apollo College trains you for that.
