I believe the simple answer is that so long as you are offering a truly "original" logo, pic, etc., you will be OK. If, on the other hand, you are contemplating using pics, etc, that others have a legal\personal claim upon, you will need their 'documented' permission first...otherwise, you could end up in a world of trouble\lawsuits...Blessings...

if it's ur band, yes, it's legal. if u're just someone making t-shirts with bands printed on them, without their knowledge and permission to use their name or any likenesses, no, it's not legal and if the bands and their label find out about it, they can sue u.

It is illegal without the permission of the band and you can pretty much be guaranteed that they won't be giving you permission.
