hamsters can live in a place where the temps vary from 50degrees f. and up to 80F. there should be no problem, but I just wouldn't keep their cage directly in front of the ac.

Just give him a sock or extra bedding to warm up if he wants to. My cousin's hamster (many years ago) hardly ever emerged from his sock except to eat and defecate during the summer. If the air or a fan is blowing on the cage, cover that area with a towel.

well no'if he is not in the midst of the cool air.
Anothers words if it is not blowing directly on him.
If he seems to get chilly just place a dish towel ont he side that the cool air is blowing on his cage.
therefore dont allow him to get hot either!

dirastic changes could get it sick if its gradual it will be okay, be shure to give it extra bedding just in case it gets a cold

No not at all! they have that shaving stuff in their cage, so if he gets cold, he can bury himself, in the shavings.
