Yes, I won my school's Spelling Bee. However, I didn't want to go to the State Spelling Bee (as I had something else I wanted to do with my family at that time rather than go to the State Capital alone with a school group), so I let the girl who came in 2nd go to the State Spelling Bee. Interestingly, she finished 2nd in the State Spelling Bee.

I did. In the last one I won, I can't remember what the word was that stumped the competition (and that I guessed correctly), but it was a really odd one. Like many spelling bee words, it's not exactly the sort of thing that comes up in everyday conversation.

When I was in like third grade I was one of the people that could have been in it...but I spelled 'sugar' s-u-g-e-r...gah...it haunts my dreams!
