By the day!!! I know this for a fact because we travel for a living and use them often. If you are moving locally, it's cheaper than far away.

daily and also by the mileage, you get a certain amount of miles then get hammered with every mile over.

they do both it depends on the truck you are renting a flat bed pick up they rent by the hour a moving truck id a day rental hope this helps

They charge for daily use...plus mileage...thats how they make their money...also they charge 3x for fuel if you bring it back empty.
