That's cool. where you going? Ever been to The Stanley Hotel? That is where I am at the present although I am not working tonight i am on a mini vacation. i haven't heard or seen anything Paranormal but many people talk about it here.
I have never investigated here as i feel it has been done to death. The famous rooms are pretty expensive so I am in an area where not much activity has been said to happen but i welcome something to pop in if it wants to. But like i said I didn't come here to work.
Happy hunting.

I don't know. I never believed in ghosts until I had an encounter. So there is a point to it all but some of it is bunk. Orbs for example are bits of dust reflecting light. But some people sell them as ghosts. On the other hand my mom was in Paris a few weeks ago and had an unexpected experience in the palace of Versailles.
When we travel we go on ghost tours and keep our eyes open. We've come across a few things but more often than not the night is a dud.

How awesome, LUCKY you! I've gone to haunted places, but no professional hunts. I've lived in 4 haunted houses, fortunately the house I'm in now is clear of paranormal activity. Most of our hauntings were perfectly harmless, only 1 house was bad, there were MANY bad spirits there, my brother was the object of the worst encounters. But yeah, I'm BIG into the paranormal! Have a great and safe time on your hunt!!! Oh yeah, and best of luck with the photos/videos!

I have had some weird things happen to me...quite by accident (they seemed!)...and because of those, I have become a believer...although I was once a HUGE skeptic...I try to not talk about them too much (especially to my co-workers!! LOL !)...but, I am fortunate to have three really good friends who feel the same way I do about the paranormal. Even the Bible mentions ghosts, spirits and the like.
I once went to an area in my state (of NC) called "The Devil's Tramping Ground"....it is a circle where NOTHING will grow...(and many things have been tried!!!)...and trust me when I tell you it was an ERIE experience to say the least!
Please be careful...and do not INVITE evil to you....keep your own spirit guarded....have fun...and let us all know what you find!

Are you going to go out and investigate unusual phenomena or are you going to go out looking for ghosts? Those two activities might seem quite similar but they are a world apart.

If you're investigating something you have to assume nothing and record evidence with a clean slate. Then you draw conclusions based on the data you have accumulated.

If you are going ghost hunting that means you *want* to see a ghost. That means that anything you observe that isn't immediately explainable will by default be a ghost. This is what's called anomaly hunting. You looking for unusual things and rather than try to explain it using the knows laws of the universe you automatically assume it's all paranormal. That is not investigation and that is not experimentation, so it's not science either. Without scientific research or any physical evidence all things paranormal are fantasy.

Also, try those meet-ups that are online..as well as shadowlands..and google other ghosts sites online, for your state..and or city..I believe that they have more info about ghost groups and such!

have fun and good luck...oh, one more thing...go to http://www.ghostpix.com and check out their tape recordings of electronic voice phenomena (or E.V.P.'s as they are widely known) they teach you how to do it..but, I have done it..it is soooo easy! It is also cool when you get a voice or more!!! You never know what you will get!

yeah, i'd like to hear how it goes too. ghosts, aliens, all that jazz... it's awesome stuff. best of luck.
my house... i wouldn't call it haunted, but strange things do happen, and it does have a bad history- someone died building it, and it was a slave house long ago.
anyway, have fun!
