Change the mixed numbers to improper fractions.
Then change the first fraction to 15ths.
Add the numerators.

4 3/5 is 23/5
1 4/15 is 19/15

23/5 + 19/15
69/15 + 19/15 = 88/15 Change to mixed number
88/15 = 5 13/15

ok 4+1=5

3/5 and 4/15 dont have common denomenators so u have to change them

3x3=9 5x3=15 9/15

9/15+4/15
that equals 13/15

final answer 5 13/15

13/15 stays the same because you cant simplify it
