I use dial-up internet, and it automatically disconnects itself after 3 hours or so. I want to keep the connection alive for longer. Is there a program that I can download that will keep my internet connection alive?

Well, Ash, chances are it's your ISP disconnecting you rather than hardware. Check with them and see if they have a time limit for connections.

Also check your firewall and your dialer to make sure there isn't a connection time-out setting that could be extended.

I have dial up internet also (Netzero) and get disconnected after 3 hours. I find that if i log-off after 2:50 or so it is easier to log back on - vs rebooting the computer each time.
