I just had my period and my mom is not home my dad is home but it would't fell right to tell him.I don't know how to use a tampon or a pad.What should i do?

Be Calm. Tell your dad that you started. he will not do anything ecept call your mom.he will help you. and you should of had a little understanding before you new you were close to starting.

Look for a pad of moms, take the plastic adhesive cover off the strip (its like a bandade) and stick it to the center of your panties until mom gets home. Don't mess with a tampon when you have your period though. Try it when you don't have it. You'll be able to get the job done a lot easier. Good luck. Pads are very easy to use, you just peel it off of the wrapper and stick it inside your underwear. If you can go through your mom's bathroom to look for a pad, then go for it. Otherwise, you can improvise by rolling up a bunch of toilet paper, and wait till your mom gets home to ask her. This sounds like your first period, so don't even try to use a tampon yet.

Does you mom have pads in the house? If she does, peel the sticky part off & place it sticky side down in your panties - put a little more of it above the seam for the crotch.
I don't recommend regular tampons for first timers - there are special ones by Tampax for teens - they are slimmer.

For a pad you pull the sticky strip off the back and put the sticky part on yur panties or put an old rag in your panties until the mom gets home. congrats on becoming a women

congrats! you now have the curse of HELL LOL just kidding..but really...a pad is easy to use. Just unwrap and put it on your underwear sticky side down. Tampons are a little more complicated. Insert into your vagina with either your finger or an applicator (if it has one)....makes it easier if you put one foot up on the tub or toilet. I'd start out using a pad though until you get used to tampons...

Your dad married a woman, and after all the years is likely to be somewhat familiar with this even IF your parents haven't already talked about this coming soon. Go tell him you are having your first period and you need sanitary pads. Trust me, your dad can help and won't panick. Well, maybe he will a little ::grin:: but IT's OKAY!
Oh and insist on something special for dinner. Maybe a dessert.

You need a pad or a tampon just to stay clean. Ask your dad where your mom keeps hers, they come with instructions, don't worry it is all natural.

just rip off the sticky thing of the pad and place it on ur underwear. check every once in a while. do that for now untill ur mom gets home. dont worry, things are gonna be fine.
