Hero archetype short story?

Question

For an english project i have to compare an archetype studied this semester and compare it to 2 short stories and the novel we read in class. The archetype is hero, and the novel is macbeth. mcduff being the hero.
I need to find 2 short stories that have the same theme and are somewhat similar. These stories also have to be internet acessible. Any ideas?

Almost any of the Sherlock Holmes stories should do it. Are they on the Internet? I suppose they are out there somewhere.

Also, try Beowulf (Old English poem).
