yes yes. i know it's only $250, the cheapest out of all the next generation consoles, but some people still aren't able to afford that. i'm just curious for my own benefit. do any of you know of any soruces, times, etc. of when the wii will go down in price?? if anything, here's hoping to it. but thanks to all who help. :D

as soon as demand goes down. the less people that want them, the more extras there will be and thusly they will lower the price to get rid of them. itll be a while though

It's going to be a looooongg time before it goes down, for exactly the reasons you pointed out. It's $200 cheaper than the xbox (at least the one you should buy with the the extra oomph) and $350 cheaper than PS3. The wii is a great value - especially for games for kids. They still fly off the shelves almost one year later, so be prepared to shell out the $250 for at least another year.

Your best bet is to buy it used either at a botique like ebgames.com or on ebay. You'll get a bit of a discount but not much. If you want it new then you're gonna have to wait about a year or so.

After months of searching I bought it for $320, well worth it, i hate nintendo
