I like Plan B....it somehow seems a little less "hug the walls" than the other, though that may be an illusion. Another thing that would be nice is to add a small upholstered chair in the S.W. corner, between your computer desk and your closet. You can sit there and listen to tunes in comfort, while plugged into your computer or whatever (or somethin'....vereyone has their own fave tech stuff). Or if you have a friend over, it's nice to have a small easy chair for them to sit in, while you use the computer chair, or vice versa. If you have room for two chairs, all the better. Check out thrift store for some awesome deals on small chairs - sometimes you can find cool vintage styles that are in surprisingly good shape. An alternative are some of the nifty furniture pieces you can find in any Target. Fairly cheap, too.

I would go with the first one because of the vent issue.
You could also switch the dresser and computer around from where you show them in the first sketch, but otherwise I agree about turning it on an angle in that corner so you can see the TV.
You're probably going to have to actually play with it to see which you like best. You can also go to this site:

and play with this room planner. You can put in your windows and doors, and then use the "generic" features to put in a bed, dresser, etc.

We need some measurements for this room if you want us to help you. Please give us the length and width of the room and also how wide is the window and how close to the floor does it go? Also what size bed do you have? Is it a twin double queen or king? Length of dresser would also be nice. and is the closet already there and if so how wide is it? Thanks.

I like the first one better but angle the dresser in the corner so that you can see the tv from the bed and from the desk.
what is spymac? Did you just infiltrate us somehow when we are trying to help?

the second one
The bed by the window is a great idea too, if you have any type of animal they like looking out windows.
It just also seams more organized.

Plan "A" is best because your not covering up your vent.
and it looks like it makes more sense.
Good Luck!
