That is wonderful news - the constitution and the rule of law win again.
^^^ Judges interpret the law - and the constitution is the law above whatever the rubberstamp congress and Bush said.

We always knew Bush was a closet fascist. The only thing that amazes me is how many so called sensible adults support him still. The last thing Bush wants is a working Constitution as we have known it. Think of all the power he can't have.

The legal system in the United States is very slow..I know from experience it takes a long time for the judges to ever get around to ruling on anything...Bush will be out of office before this comes up for legal review.

You mean in addition to calling it "a g-d piece of paper"?
I don't think that George W. Shrub ever read the Constitution, nor did he ever take a course on the American Constitution, nor has he done a single thing to uphold it!!! (And isn't that what a president swears to do when he takes the Oath of Office???)
Oh, I forgot....if it's past 4th grade level, he CAN'T read it! Sorry....

Was that prisoner ever charged with anything or another goof.
Nothing wraps up your question like the remark about 2 yrs ago by GW at a meeting when referring to the US Constitution as 'That G__ D_____ piece of paper'. The general concensus was that he did say that at the time. Imagine a President of the US saying that.

I doubt that Bush or Bush Jr hate the Constitution. I think they simply enjoy the wealth and power that come from being the nation's alpha males. It's what's called, 'Old Money'; which means, family fortunes originally earned in the Colonial opium and slave trades.

The Constitution was written for American citizens. It was not written to cover terrorists on foreign soil captured in acts that make them exempt from even the Geneva Conventions.
When someone doesn't apply something to someone who is not covered by it does not mean they hate the original thing.
That you hate Bush is seditious. That you oppose his goals or policies is not. Stop undermining our country with rumors. Keep speaking up, regardless.
Oh, I'm a democrat. I just put my country first and see the damage that people do with such things. I know how to protest in a respectful and patriotic way. I opposed strongly how they treated Former President Clinton.
How can I do less for President Bush? Plus, I'll never be rightly called a hypocrite when I defend our next democrat President from sedition.

Yes--though we already had more than enough evidence of that--ad, for that matter, of committing perjury when he swore an oath to uphold the Constitution.

Bushs motto: ***** the constitution it's just a *** **** piece of paper. It pays to keep your friends like AG Alberto Gonzales around to. He finds all the ways around the constitution.
