Oh moon........ it's as if you knew me when you asked this question. I can answer yes, yes, yes, yes and YES! Writing has always been therapeutic for me. I think that is partly why I adore Y!A so much. I love answering, but I swear just by answering some of the deeper questions, I'm able to reason out my own issues as I formulate an answer to another. It helps me so much.

I've always loved writing humorous pieces. You know...... looking at life through realistic eyes. I love tossing in characteristics that we all relate to that get to the basic psychology of people. We all love to laugh at ourselves, but don't seem to be able to do so until we see the same ridiculous traits in others. What better place to witness it than in a book. A book where you can totally relate to the character to the point that it grabs you and you can't put it down because it is like taking a peek into your own past, present and future.

When I'm done....... wow... it's like a major sense of accomplishment. I think I pour so much of myself into my writing that I see the piece as a part of me..... like a child. One that you molded from the beginning and helped it form its structure and growth based on your own influence. *sigh* Now if everyone else could just see that?? lol

Thank you for your question....... I hope you have a great day as well!!

Writing is very therapeutic for me, it does give me a better sense of calm. I keep a journal and most of the time I write when I get angry or hurting. I always feel better after wards. When I am hurt it helps ease the pain. I recommend it to anyone to try if you haven't already...a journal can be a really good friend...mainly because you are the only one with an opinion...lol

I do enjoy writing, mostly about how I am feeling or if something needs to be put on paper... Here is something that I wrote a few days ago. I was having a really bad day. I seem to have major problems dealing with death.

Thank you…

I wish you were here so I could say…

Thank you for remembering our birthday, I missed that phone call last year.
I wished you a happy birthday too, did you hear me?

Thank you for everyday that you brought me home a Flake. I will always remember that.
Thank you for giving me every material thing my heart desired, you were the greatest uncle a girl could have.
Thank you for always taking my side, especially when I was wrong and no one else would stand by me. You were always there for me.

Thank you for teaching me to play Monopoly. And for playing with my little girl, if she does not hold that memory dear, I always will.
Thank you for always letting me be the ship, I wish we could do that again, I would sail away with you.
Thank you for always playing with me, even when you were so tired after work.

Thank you for loving me despite the person that I was. I have changed, are you proud of me?
Thank you for keeping my baby blanket, I found it in your cupboard.
Thank you seeing “the little princess” in me, no one else did.
Thank you being there for me, I love you.

Thank you for what you left me in your will, but I don’t want it.
I want you back, because I miss you.

It has been more than a year now, and I still cry…
When will this stop?

Sitting sick at home motivates me to write, also seeing movies, or reading good books.
It's mostly therapeutic, 'cause I'm getting all my feelings out.

I write simply because I have to and for no other reason. When I write anything, even what I am writing right now, its as much for me as it is for anyone else. Thats not meant to be selfish, its just the way it is. With writing you can share your thoughts and feelings and develop them at the same time...

... and yes, its theraputic.

It is therapeutic and I always write about family.
It's sort of a family montage and history. I want my daughters to be able to know what I think of them and have something of me forever that reminds them I love them.

Just about anything motivates me to write, but I usually write when there's something I don't like and think it needs to change. I stick with science fiction; science is fun, educational, and moves our species along.
