From an electrical safety standpoint if it is plugged into a GFI outlet as all exterior outlets should be it will be quit safe. How long it will last out in the weather is dependent on the quality of the fridge and how much weather it will get.

Daisy, truth is those coffee grounds are great but they need to decompose to do any good. So, I'd say go to the nursery and get a decent indoor plant fertilizer. I'm an avid gardener. My coffee grounds and all other kitchen scraps except bones go into my compost pile. It's okay if it takes months for that stuff to break down when it's out in a corner of my garden.

Sure why not!! I have a freezer on mine and the only thing is that it might rust a bit but it still works great . Thats what grounding is for is to divert electricity and preventing it from shorting out from whatever and starting a fire .
