no. i dont if the service is especially bad. if its especially good, ill tip more.

Nope tips are not an automatic charge unlike tax.

If it's "automatic", it's a service charge and you have to pay it.
Otherwise, tips are optional.
Love it in New Zealand and South Korea: NO TIPPING!

if you are at a resturaunt that adds gratuity for large partys you have to pay it...there will be a disclaimer on the bottom of the menu. you can get out of it if you have afeful service and complain to a manager though....

well, you dont' have to shop/eat there - but if you do and they tack on 15% automatically, I say you have to pay.

yeah, if you had TERRIBLE service, I would speak to the manager about the auto tip.
