Well, you could go to the beach, or a pool. You could have a garage sale if you have a whole lot of extra stuff i your house. It will cost money for signs and stuff, but it will pay off beause you will probably raise more money than you'll spend. You could redecorate your room like rearrange the furniture and everything. I don't know how old you are, but if you have kids you could have them create a game. I did that for a project in school. Another idea is to take up a productive hobby such as sewing, knitting, chrochet, or art. Though, some art such as painting can get expensive. You could have a spa day and paint your fingers and toes outside with lemonade and avacado masks, and cucumbers. You could also make kites and fly them at a prk, or better yet, just go to the park and play. I hope you have an amazing summer

Camp in the back yard.
Enjoy a picnic in the park.
See if they have any local events going on in the town square.
Take a nature walk.
Hunt bugs.
Bird watch.
Scenic drives.
Walk along or enjoy swimming in the ocean.
Sit on the porch and enjoy a good thunder storm.
Play catch.
Browse yard sales and garage sales.
Play with Legos (good at any age or for the whole family. Have a family barbecue and ask guests to each bring a different dish.
Play "I spy".
Board games.

There are a lot more I culd have come up with, but I think those are a few good things you can do with the family. Enjoy the summer. I am broke too and will probably take my own advice.

It really depends on where you live. Many things that are free in my area might not be in yours.

Try museums, parks, zoos and places like that. Many cities have places like these that are free to the public. Otherwise use the internet for something.

Open an ebay account and try to sell things on there. Your family can all get involved in that. You would be surprised what is around your house that you wouldt mind selling. Then you could get some extra money to go out and do things with.

going to the beach-could be at a river, lake, ocean...bring the kids to the park, maybe do some scavenger hunt things, there may be a local wildlife preserve or nature center-they do fun things for families during the summer, a zoo...it takes digging in your paper but most areas have fun free family activities during the warm months.
