It's in the desert
Camp Green Lake is no longer a lake because over a hundred years ago the lake dried up and the people who lived around it moved away. Now the lake is a dry and barren land where the temperature is usually about ninety- five degrees. The only place where there is shade is between two trees where there is a hammock. The hammock belongs to the Warden so the campers cannot lie in it. Rattlesnakes and scorpions hide in the shade under rocks and in holes that the campers of Camp Green Lake dig. Rattlesnakes and scorpions are horrible but nothing is as dangerous as the yellow-spotted lizard, whose bite is always fatal.

Think of a summer camp, a lake with barracks and a shower area and a eating room. Now dry up the lake and fill it full of holes that are 5 foot around and 5 foot deep. Somewhere in the lake is a overturned boat about half way across the entiree lake. Now since it is so dry the only wildlife is are snakes, lizards and scorpions and of those the only ones you really need to worry about are the lizards they are posion and they hate the sweet onions that grow naturally on the far side of the lake.

The camp is on a dried up river bed. As Stanley is first arriving at the camp the movie shows holes everywhere. There is hardly any plant life around. There is one mountain off in the distance they refer to as "God's Thumb" because it looks like a giant thumbs up. The buildings there are old looking. The camp itself is like in the middle of nowhere. The land is dried up and cracked. It's very dusty. Hope this helps!! Couldn't think of anything else.

it used to be a lake but then it dried up. It is now used as a punish camp. Stanley later finds out that his family has a history at the place.

Dried up lake out in the middle of nowhere...Holes everywhere, and of course, no trees, except for the two by the Warden's cabin. Hazy and hot...dry dirt as far as the eye can see.
Hope that helps some!

False. Most of the books in my library are bought by me, except those that I received as birthday presents. I don't lend my books to other people unless I am sure I can trust them. However, if the book comes back ruined, or even worse not returned (even though this hasn't happened to me yet), I won't lend any other book to that person. I often borrow books from others too, just because I don't have it and I want to read it. I treat books very gently, and I won't let the spine to even break while I read it. I will definitely return it after I finish reading, as soon as I can. I don't take others' books. That's the same as stealing.

A west Texas barren desert. Used to be lake, but the lake dried up in a drought.
Excellent, enjoyable reading.
