Mine lived for ten years though just feed it once a week and change water as needed

As long as you keep the water clean and feed your Beta they can live a very long time..My friends lived about 7 yrs..

Average lifespan for a beta tends to be about three to five years if well maintained. It is possible for them to live much longer.

With proper care 4-5 years is average. Some can make it a few years longer.

My parents have had theirs for almost a year. It is pretty much neglected but amazingly going strong. They are tough little guys.
